Born in Montreal, Jeff's musical life started with accordion lessons at a time when he was too little to lift the instrument (he played it on a table). After years of conservatory piano lessons, Jeff took up the flute (it was easier to carry). He eventually graduated from the University of Western Ontario's Faculty of Music with an honors degree in Theory and Composition, but soon found that his love of folk, rock and bluegrass (and the lifestyle that goes with it) was inconsistent with a career in academia.

So he did what every other self respecting musician was doing at the time. He traveled the world, ran out of money, moved to San Francisco and became a computer consultant.

Today, Jeff lives in Thornhill Ontario, telecommutes for the University of Michigan and plays lead guitar with da boyz. Click the pick for a song featuring Jeff.
